Teatro Regio of Turin is today one of the most important opera centers at international level as well as one of the most long-lived theaters in Europe with almost three centuries of Opera activity.
The facade of the Theater, recognized as a World Heritage Site, remains from the original 1740 complex. Rebuilt to a design by Carlo Mollino, it was inaugurated in 1973. The Regio now offers a wide artistic proposal such as opera, ballets, musicals, concerts and educational programs. The international activity of the Regio is realized with tours in Europe, Asia and the America. Equally important is the rich recording activity that now includes more than 30 titles including CDs and DVDs with all the most important artists of the international opera scene.
